The Challenge

Information Transparency Traditional cord blood storage often feels like a "black box" for parents. There is a severe lack of real-time updates, leaving users in the dark regarding the safety and status of their samples.

  1. Process Complexity & Geographical Barriers The legacy application process is notoriously cumbersome, involving heavy paperwork and physical constraints. Navigating medical appointments and logistics across different regions creates significant friction for expectant parents.

  2. The Long-term Trust Gap Cord blood banking is a 20-year emotional and financial commitment. Building a high-integrity digital platform was essential to instill a sense of reliability and peace of mind from the very first interaction.

Action

  • Discover: Conducted market analysis and in-depth interviews with 20+ expectant parents, identifying "complex contracts" and "geographical barriers" as the primary pain points.

  • Define: Developed user personas and mapped out task flows, specifically optimizing the high-friction experience of multi-page medical form completion.

  • Iteration: Executed two rounds of usability testing. After identifying user hesitation during the payment process in the first round, I implemented progress bars and security certification badges to enhance trust and clarity.

Task

The primary objective was to simplify complex medical decision-making. Through intuitive UI/UX design, we aimed to lower the barrier for parents to understand cord blood banking, digitize cumbersome offline application processes, and ultimately increase product accessibility and user conversion rates.
Situation

Ai Cun Cell is an end-to-end cord blood management platform designed to break geographical barriers. By addressing significant information asymmetry and the "black box" nature of the storage process, the platform provides a comprehensive digital solution—from medical registration and collection to long-term monitoring—instilling a sense of security for new parents.

Result

We successfully launched the industry's first full-lifecycle cord blood application. Within the first week, the platform acquired 5,000+ new registered users. Post-launch interviews indicated a 30% increase in User Satisfaction (CSAT), with users specifically praising the convenience and speed of the newly digitized "Online Contract Signing" feature.
